All true things. While we all contribute to the postal service’s current problems the only ones really thinking they are problems are those employed by the postal service or ones in business because of the service’s existence (such as the many printers we do business with, mailhouses they do business with but overall A LOT of people). While many think direct mail will still be around it’ll just be harder and more expensive to do make that happen. The debate goes back and forth. Depends on which side of the mailbox you’re on.

A friend of mine’s teenage son created the Flow Mo Rap video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3QVmb_2OHE. It’s a video of teenagers “rapping” about living in Flower Mound. He created it a few years ago and posted it on YouTube. Since then he has had over 90,000 hits and now has paid advertising on it. He gets a check every so often. He and his family have traveled around the country and people as far away as California and the East Coast, when hearing that he is from Flower Mound will ask him if he is the one that is in the Flow Mo video. It’s amazing!

I mourn with you, Wes. Our medium was once a place full of life, and personality. Now, it is the equivalent of The Gap, homogenized of all distinction. But I like to think broadcasters and showmen will find another venue. I’d love your thoughts on where that might be.

To get to the Keyboard shortcuts it is – Settings > Keyboard > Scroll down to Shortcuts > “Add New Shortcut…”
