Ivie Cares Increases Donations by 234% in 2011
Flower Mound, Texas (February 14, 2012) – Ivie & Associates, Inc. announced today that it raised over $48,000 in 2011 for charitable organizations through Ivie Cares, its community service program. The year marked the fourth consecutive year of growth in total donations made by Ivie Cares, and 2011 more than doubled 2010's totals resulting in a 234% increase year to year."I'm so appreciative of our associates and how they embrace charitable giving and work towards a common goal of philanthropy through our Ivie Cares program," said Warren Ivie, CEO and Founder of Ivie and Associates, Inc. "The volunteer spirit exemplified by our team continues to grow each year and help others in the communities where we work and live."
Ivie Cares donated a total of $48,339 in monetary and goods donations in 2011. The funds raised came directly from employees' generosity and, in some instances, company matching of those donations. Every organization that received a donation was either a 501(c)(3) organization or was directly tied to a 501(c)(3) organization. Ivie's Flower Mound office participates in a program called Jeans for Charity which allows associates to wear jeans to work on Tuesdays in exchange for a minimum of a $2 donation to the month's chosen charity. Charities are chosen on a monthly basis from employee submissions. Thirteen different nonprofit organizations received donations from Ivie Cares during 2011.
Ivie Cares donation recipients in 2011 included the North Texas Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Family Resources, Operation Kindness, Children's Advocacy Center of Denton County, Genesis Women's Shelter, March of Dimes, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Indiana Children's Wish Fund, Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, Snowball Express, Extra Life, Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas, and Beagle Freedom Project. Ivie Cares also donated products and supplies for our troops overseas and participated in several sustainability and recycling programs.
