Ivie is heading to Las Vegas at the end of March for GlobalShop, the nation’s premier trade show focused on retail design and consumer marketing – and the only one that combines retail design, merchandising, shopper-facing technology and marketing under one roof. GlobalShop, which is celebrating its 25th year, is a mammoth annual get-together of more than 2,000 retailers and 10,500 industry professionals that brings top retail influencers and decision-makers together with the suppliers and providers who serve them and help them succeed.

“I am very excited to visit my 12th GlobalShop,” Creative VP Anthony Woolridge said. “It is a great window into a world of retail that not many get to see and a wonderful opportunity for those that the science of retail marketing and have a desire to find new and different ways to reach customers.”

Each year GlobalShop centers itself around a theme, and for 2017 the event is billed as “Experience Defines You,” reflecting today’s absolute necessity for retailers, marketers and brands to deliver compelling customer experiences – experiences that engage consumers, hold their attention, and move them to buy. The show will highlight the latest forward-looking ideas, products and solutions in five main sections: store design and operations, visual merchandising, store fixturing, digital store and at-retail marketplace. A new “Experience Journey” mapping feature will help guide attendees to gathering areas and exhibitor booths relevant to their interests.

Here are three highlights we’ll be keeping an eye on at the event.

1. Industry connections
Thousands of retailers and retail vendors alike converge at GlobalShop, which presents terrific opportunities for networking and keeping our services on the forefront of trends. Walking the entire floor to see all the incredible innovation and hear insights from top industry leaders is one of our favorite things to do.

2. New sessions and educational seminars
One of the fresh updates to this year’s show is the addition of live sessions and educational seminars. We expect that these classes and presentations will provide hands-on learning about upcoming retail trends and evolving consumer behavior.

3. Retail POP and signage exhibits
Signage is a huge part of what we do for our clients. These exhibits will no doubt ignite new ideas for the signage projects we work on to help us do an even better job, both in form and in style/creative. 3D and custom die-cuts have been a growing ask from our clients, so we’re excited to explore the latest trends and innovations.

GlobalShop 2017 takes place at Las Vegas’s Mandalay Bay Convention Center March 28th through the 30th. We hope to see you there!
